Welcome to my blog in which I hope I can help my wife to raise awareness of her condition Fibromyalgia and maybe go some way to helping the partners, friends and family of those suffering with the same disease to understand from 'the other side'. I'm also a sufferer of depression and would like to share my thoughts on this and the battle i've had for nearly twenty years.

Enjoy reading and please feel free to leave comments.

Piedeluco, a start to some Italian rest!

Hi,

We arrived in Rome yesterday after an excellent 2 and a bit hour flight. I have to say the ryannair staff were really helpful and fully empathetic to Sally in a wheelchair.

We were over on baggage weight, and yes we had to re-jig a few items, but they still let it go, a bit overweight, stating that it was down to essential medical supplies. We didn't have to wait at any queues, we were aloud to sit and relax, with our seats ready for us on the plane, at the front, we were escorted to the lane, helped on and then off again, and again, didn't have to wait in any queues, just got lead to the front, i have to say the whole experience was very good, and the most chilled flying experience i've ever had, if felt a bit like being a celeb, so very funny!!

We got here last night, after a bit of shouting, due to the blackberry, orange maps, not quite saying what Sally thought, but got here, in the dark, and when i say dark, there is zero light at night, we're a few hundred feet up, so much so that this morning, the clouds on the hills, were lower than us!!

This morning, the sun is shining, the skies are blue, and it is idyllic, the most beautiful place i've ever seen, as for relaxing, wow, i've never been so chilled, so i'm sure it will help Sally no end, there's very little to get mad about here, apart from non-charging laptops!!

More to come
